in 93 was 10.61; in 94 smashed world junior record with 9.96 at
Odessa, Texas but not forwarded for ratification as wind gauge
(reading +1.7) was incorrectly sited and track was 4cm short;
time adjusted to 9.97w. 4th in 94 US Champs after legal 10.11
semi. Took up sprinting after breaking arm playing football in
high school and mother urged him to switch to a safer sport |
