Watch out Merlene, Marions' back on form
Charlie Wells, manager of the world's top woman athlete Marion Jones, has confirmed that the 21 Marion Jonesyear-old American is recovered from the jet-lag which contributed to her defeat over 100m to Jamaica's Merlene Ottey in Tokyo last Saturday.
"She was running like she was asleep," said Wells of Jones, who clocked 10.91 to Ottey's 10.83, "but she's adjusted well now." Wells feels Jones can approach her personal best when she faces Ottey again - this time at 200m - in the IAAF Grand Prix Final on Saturday. The American - winner of two World golds in Athens - ran 21.76 in Zürich last month, the world's fastest time since 1992. Before this month her previous races in Asia were at the 1992 World Junior Championships in Seoul.
