The Sport is intended to give newcomers to our sport an idea of what it is all about and those who practise it actively practical assistance to develop their skills.

Under the What's Athletics section you will find details of each of the events, historical landmarks and an idea of what it takes to do the event.

The Technical section is designed for those involved in the technical organisation of track & field competitions and the production of equipment used at athletics events.

Science includes articles, resumes and the bibliography from the IAAF's New Studies in Athletics. NSA is the IAAF's Quarterly Magazine for Coaches Education, Technical Research, Development Information and Bibliographic Documentation. Recognised experts in the field of sports science are welcomed as contributors to NSA and should send material they would like to see published in this journal to the NSA Editors.
