Improved at OG 1996 800m national record of Alberto Juantorena. At 800m won CAG 1998 (4x400 too) and WUG 1997 and 1999; 2nd at Pan American Games 1999. At 4x400 relay won silver medal at OG 1996 and gold medal at PAm 1995 (1st at 400m) and CAG 1993 (1st at 400m)
