Née Mikaelson. Graduate of Idaho State University. USA Outdoor Champion 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 USA Indoor Champion 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 She won first women's world pole vault titles indoor (Paris 1997), outdoor (Sevilla 1999) and Olympic (Sydney 2000). Coach, Dave Nielsen, was a 5.33 pole vaulter.
